The SPIKE V2 keeps what makes the V1 so balanced:

• The rear vertical plate has been designed to fix the VTX and the RX, allowing a low stack height (FC + ESC or PDB) and an easy integration.
• The weight distribution has been optimized. In particular, the vertical distance between the battery and motor is reduced.
• Battery is top mounted. The frame fits with most of the 1300 -1500 mAh LiPo.
• The rear lipo strap goes through the vertical plate. It allows reducing the width of the top plate at the rear end. Better look, less weight, and more fresh air for the rear motors. 

Some slight modifications have been made: 

• Larger battery straps holes (e.g. for "kevlar" straps)
• XT60 plugs passes through the Top plate
• No more "toilet tank" battery mount configuration due to the "XT60 hole"
• Reinforced bottom plate in the front area

Most of the parts are compatible between V1 and V2.
